Our weekend

We had a great weekend just spending time together! Chris promised Colin that they would get out the leaf blower since the weather was going to be nice on Saturday. We have a TON of leaves in our yard. If we could, we would get every last one of our trees cut down. Here are some pics of them blowing the leaves to the street:

Look at that face!

Sunday after nap time, (the boys and ours!) they worked on the back yard (ton of leaves back there too), and Colin rode his "riding lawnmower". I am hoping that he will own his own landscaping business one day and come take care of mom and dad's yard!

I had to work hard to get this photo of him smiling so big. He is so hard these days to photograph! By the time I click the button and it takes, I end up missing this priceless smile! So for this one I was chasing him around and trying to tickle his armpit- that is why he is holding his hands like he is. We play this game where Chris or I will ask him where the ceiling is....and when he points up and says, "up there", we tickle him. And he laughs hysterically! So fun.

Here is a pic of Robson since he wasn't in any of the leaf blower pictures! He is such a sweet baby.

Crazy

"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." Colossians 3:1-3

This is a verse that I have been familiar with and probably "memorized" at some point in the past few years, but the Lord is really hitting it home for me now!!

I have really been struggling lately with practicing what this verse is teaching. If I were to tell you what these issues are you would probably think "she is crazy". Actually, those of you who know me well know I am crazy, and for those who don't, well, now you do! :) It's not like I am worried or thinking on the "big things" that are going on all around us, but there are things that my mind will not let go, and things that I believe the enemy wants to use cause bitterness in my heart. Man, that sin nature does get in the way.

I just wanted to share what is on my heart and how I am hoping for the Lord to work in my heart to shape it to be more like His, and to see the world- EVERY situation- through eternal eyes and perspective. I am far, far, away from that! Lord help me!
