Easter

I never got around to posting Easter photos, so better late than never, right? Easter for me is a HUGE holiday. One of the pastors at our church this past weekend said that our culture really plays on Christmas, and the Incarnation of our Savior is huge, don't get me wrong on that one. But, the resurrection is what our faith completely rests on. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:17, "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins". So praise the Lord that we can be confident of this- "that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...". (1 Cor. 15:3-4)

We started Easter morning off with a nice box of Dunkin Donuts....just to celebrate and to try to make the point to Colin that this is no ordinary Sunday!

My little man

My baby boy

After church we went to Smithfield to celebrate with my family and here are some photos from that:

Colin got to ride Grandaddy's lawnmower...his favorite thing in the whole world!
Then he did an easter egg hunt, which was really cute. Luckily he doesn't take after his mama because SUPPOSEDLY, according to my family, I would get really mad if anyone else found an egg b/c I thought that meant they would "win" and I would just stop looking for eggs! How silly.

Robson can't really join in on the fun yet but he did like holding the eggs, putting them in his mouth, then throwing them down and watching them fall and see how many times he could get an adult to pick it up for him!

Look at those chubby cheeks.....mmmmmm- those are good for kissin'!

After we came back from Smithfield, we saw Nonnie but my camera battery was dead by then so I don't have any pics! We are so very blessed to have so many family members nearby to be able to celebrate special times with.
